Jim

Jim grew up in Orange county California, graduated Orange High school. Upon graduation God told him to move to Kansas City, Mo. There he met the love of his life Joyce. They meet in youth group and were soon married.  There they served faithfully as youth leaders and on the Pastors council and worker training program. During this time Jim earned his credentials with the AG.

In 1983 Joyce and Jim were asked to help pioneer a church in Platte City Missouri. There they served as associate Pastor, slash (youth humor) Youth Pastor / Men”s Ministries / Women”s Ministries etc.  They served for six wonderful years. This is when DestinyUth ministries began. Since then, Jim has served as Youth Pastor, Asst Pastor, Senior Pastor, District Youth Director of South West Texas, National Youth leadership and Youth Missions director for a major denomination.

His education as an ordained minister has come through Berean Bible College, and 30+ years of hands on ministry and continued personal study and growth.

Joyce and Jim live in Joplin Missouri with our household protectors. Twitch the “attack Chihuahua” and Texas.   They love walking in the woods in fall, sitting in the hot tub when it snows, shopping, and hanging out with friends. They have 1 Daughter, 2 sons and 10 grand children.

Presently Jim works for the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) as the Production manager. This allows him to travel the nation and encounter many people groups, seeing the needs and heart of our nation. PBR also allows Jim to go to countries like Australia, Brazil, Mexico and Canada and see first hand what God is doing in other countries. In his down time from touring with the PBR, Jim does leadership training, church planting and missions work in, Kenya, Uganda and eastern Africa, Western Europe, with more opportunities opening up every year. He speaks at Men Conferences, Churches and Youth Ministries.

This couple love’s serving God, going where ever He asks them to go. Joyce and Jim are the most down to earth and reachable people you will ever meet.

 Joyce

Joyce was born in Chicago and grew up in North Kansas City. She meet the love of her life in church youth group, and it has been an adventure ever since.

Joyce also served as a youth leader as an adviser on the pastor’s council. I that time Joyce earned a four year certificate in lay ministry at Northland Cathedral. She is a very strong woman of faith and has the most disarming personality. She works one on one with women and young ladies, helping them become what God has destined them to be. Her most powerful testimony is “Loving God by loving your family”.
